News From Atlanta, GA Chinese Missions
Dear Church Family,
It has been a year now that we have been in Atlanta, Ga. working with the Asian people. We truly do miss our church but God has seen that in His divine working that we are here in Atlanta, GA. We are working with the un-churched Asian people and we now have quite a few people that Nancy is ministering to. We begin by getting them into an English class and then meet their needs socially, spiritually and health-wise physically and provide a counsel to them if needed, and Nancy has ministered in this manner on several occasions. We are very busy with this work and sometimes our family suffers, but if we can reach these un-churched Asian people God can bless the time that we do have with our family.
I must confess that I did not want to come here from the beginning. I enjoyed the nice clean air of Kentucky, the absence of eight lanes of traffic going but not going in one direction, the going to a church where I understood everything that was being said and the fellowship of other SDA people that understood like I do. God has taken us through a long hard school of hard knocks, education, but I must now say that I would do it all again if I had to. God has blessed us with a mental blessing that just can not be explained with words or actions. Some of you, like Carolyn Hansen, knows just what I mean.
We now have a Chinese man living in our home who came from Canada. He does not know whom Jesus is or why he needs to know Him. But God has used us to open up a host of questions that would seem to say that God is working on him. He even called us on Christmas Day from Canada, he went back home for Christmas, and asked what we were doing in the church for Christmas. Everyone that I meet in America has at least heard of Jesus Christ, but having our whole life set before the “heathen”, to be a witness of who God is, is going to be somewhat of an undertaking. I thank God that He has found us faithful. After one week in our home there has been many questions along with many answers, but the greatest question that this man asked me was, “Terry, could you get me an English Bible?” even though he wants to use it to learn English, God has the control of his thoughts and his heart with the words that Nancy and I will be giving him. Please place his name at the top of your prayer list. Just call him Jerry for now! This reminds me of another situation that we had in Kentucky that maybe I could tell some other time for if I tell this one I will be into the third page. Maybe you could write and I’ll tell you that story. We also have many other stories.
God has allowed us to be great tools for those with health problems. It all began with a lady that works six days a week, 13 hours per day with only Tuesday off. She and her husband work at the food court in Chinatown, the location of our Enhancement Center, CELESC. Both of them only ate what their boss would give them to eat, which was pork, tofu and lots of oil with hot peppers. They were always complaining about not having any energy and having pain all over their body with red and white spots on their face. Nancy told them about what I could do for them, health-wise and so they listened to us about juicing for their health We told them what to do about flushing their system and rebuilding their immune system. We had them juicing every day. They still would not give up the pork, and has not as of today, but God has used what I told them to do, to get a witness from God. A week after they started the juicing process they began to get more energy and they began to get up on their day off and take a long walk. Then the second week the pain in their body was completely gone, then four weeks after they began, and mind you they were faithful to juice every day, they began to get complements from strangers and friends as to their facial complexion and their physical appearance. The red and white spots were gone, the lady, Jo, began to trim down to a feminine figure and the man, we will call him SS, began to fill out like a man. They are so happy and they are always talking about what we have done for them. We say it is God that did the miracle in their body, nothing that we have done. They now want to know more about what we are doing here since they have figured out that it is not just to teach English. God is faithful!
This is what God wants us to be, faithful witnesses to the very lifestyle that people should have. These people, Jo and SS, have been witnesses to six other people that we have also been able to help with their health problems. All of these people complained of health problems from the beginning, then the door was opened for Nancy to talk to them about their health. She sent them to talk to Jo and SS and they came back wanting to have a health seminar. We gave a health seminar and they began juicing and now all of them have gotten rid of their health problems. One Lady, Lisa, she has lost the taste for meat and has given it up all together. Her daughter had Acne real bad and now her face is as it were a baby’s face. I also found out just yesterday that Lisa’s daughter has lost 20 ponds by juicing. She is a 15 year old that loves it and has begun juicing three times per day. Another Lady, Katharine, had a severe facial problem, I believed an allergic reaction to seafood, which she just loves to eat, has now given up her seafood and her face is clean and clear. She also had sleeping problems that left her two weeks after she started juicing. Another Lady, May, from the Radio station, she is also Chinese, we have been working with her and her husband Daniel about Biblical things. She cam in while we were having a juicing seminar and became so interested that she stayed long after everyone else had gone and asked more questions and asked for even more recopies. I was very glad to give her all the information that she asked for after she told us and should us what had happened to her. I China she had a triple bypass at the age of 39. Please pray for her, Daniel and their son. She was just recently beginning to have more pain in her chest just a few years since the surgery. She was so convinced, she promised to buy a juicer, A Juiceman Juicer, and begin to juice and get off of pork. Her husband was a pharmacist in China and he believes that only drugs will help her. Seeing is believing! We are ministering to the health needs of the Chinese people and praying for the spiritual needs to be met one day. As of this day, in the metro area of Atlanta, Ga. a city of over 4 million and over 40,000 legal Chinese, there is not a Chinese Seventh Day Adventist Church, even though there are six Korean churches to the 38,000 Korean’s here in Atlanta, Ga. So says my research and the General Conference as well. God has not completely opened that door yet. Maybe because the Chinese will test you first to see what you are really made of and are wanting from them. They truly test the character of a person. We are at present ministering to the spiritual needs of the church that we attend. We have ministries within the Korean SDA church in Duluth. I work with the young children. I play and sing songs with three groups of young children every Sabbath then I teach the primary Sabbath School class, then I have Children Story in English every Sabbath during Church, then I Preach sometimes for the Youth church and have preached three times in the main worship service and I have teaching Lectures in the afternoon after the noon meal which is a teaching Seminar every Sabbath at 1:30 PM. Nancy has worked with the Korean Ladies before but every time she starts a new class, the door becomes shut. I believe the men of the church have a lot to do with this problem. This may be Gods will but please pray that we are found faithful. Please pray for the Korean SDA churches. This up come year, Nancy will begin to teach an English Sabbath school lesson until she begins the Chinese Sabbath school class. It sounds like Lucifer with the “I’s” but we just wanted our home church to know what is going on here in Atlanta. GA.
We have, as it were, VANISHED, from your sight, and for this we are sorry and we do ask the church to forgive us. We see it as a “Phillip in Acts,” association, but when the Lord calls, you don’t have a party nor do you tell the Lord, wait, you just GO! Thank you church family for your understanding, your faithful prayers and for the support that has been so graciously given by those that surely could not afford it, but God reward you with the good blessings that He bestows on His faithful servants. We pray that God would place every one of you into a ministry that only you were called to perform. We want to let all of you know what is going on here in Atlanta with the Chinese people on a continual basis. So, if you would send us your email address I will keep you informed. I would have liked to send a few special people of our church a personal letter but I can not get a church directory off of your church website. Nancy and Lily are doing just fine. Lily has been the “Rambunctious little three year old” that we have all grown to love. Jonathan is growing like a weed and reading everything in sight, sometimes twice and three times, even to the point of getting into trouble doing it, but he is becoming quite a young man and he is such a great help here to us. I am still just Terry! God may have whittled a little off of me so as to let the necessary out, but just keep praying for me.
May the God of peace comfort you and yours during this Christmas season and please have a happy new year. Please make a covenant with God to do more and more for Him each and every day. I, along with many others, believe that the Lord our God will return shortly. Remember that there is someone outside your door, maybe even next door, that needs your love, your attention, your faith and your God, this season. Be a friend to someone today! Tell them about the Savior that came for them!

PS: There is one thing that I wish that everyone would take into consideration and that is the asteroid 2002nt7. This asteroid was found to have an elliptical orbit that passes directly through Earth’s orbit. Even though JPL of NASA is given it a 1 in 250,000 of a direct hit at any time, the next time that it passes through the earths orbit and the Earth is very close to the intersecting point, is Jan 9, 2003 and then in Feb 2012 and then in Feb 2019. The asteroid is 1.2 miles in diameter. You may want to ask Dr. Robert Gentry about this but you can go to the website: http://neo.jpl.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/db?name=2002+NT7 In June there was an asteroid the size of a soccer field that passed only 75,000 miles from the earth. Whew! That was close. I believe that God has given us this as a topic of discussion with those that are not of our faith, so as to bring them good news of the Savior, Jesus Christ.

Please pray for us and the ministry to the Chinese. We are building relationships. We do have needs and God is faithful to supply them as we need them. Would you please become a part of this outreach to the Chinese people. We need immediately, funds for bilingual (English/Chinese) Bibles for our Bible studies.
We have been here in Atlanta for a year now. That should say much about what God is doing in Atlanta. Many things has begun to increase the kingdom of God. Maybe you would want to be a part of the next thing that is happening here. Evil does not want good to triumph. Most of the time we feel like the Apostle Paul as he went through so many persecutions and trials. If we had 200 people that would sacrifice just $10.00 per month we could do a lot more.
Printing is expensive. We have translated materials that is just waiting for faithful people like yourself to fulfill that need. At the present we print off from our computer just the materials that we need from day to day but there are times that we have to wait because we are out of ink. Also the time taken to patch the computers that we have had for years, takes away from precious time that could be used for Gods work. Please pray about what God would have you to do.
I will tell you that God could use your $10.00 in many other places, but the work must go on regardless. Our work is not the only work that God could use your help with. Below are some other ministries that I know are working long hours for the Lord. They are:

2. 3ABN 24 hours per day seven days per week satellite television programming literally around the world. Reaching million's of people with Christian programming. Be apart of this world-wide mission outreach to the lost. High Speed modems only view 3ABN programming of special clips!
3. Frontier Missions - $10.00 per month, to build a church a month, somewhere in the world.
4. Amazing Facts - Pastor Doug Bachelor, newest project is a month long meeting in Africa, seen on 3ABN, reaching thousands with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
5. The Carter Report - Pastor John Carter, reaching thousands of Russians every year with the Gospel of Jesus Christ with his seminars linking archeology to the Bible.
6. The Quiet Hour - Reaching thousands of people by Radio daily, primarily children.
7. It is Written - Pastor Mark Finley, reaching millions of people around the world with their programming on TV, Radio, Tape and church seminars.
8. The Voice of Prophecy - Lonnie Melashenko, reaching millions of people around the world with their programming on TV, Radio, Tape and church seminars.
9. Life Talk Radio - Reaching thousands of people by Radio daily, primarily those that are having life's difficulties to deal with. Call in talk shows with veteran Pastors as the hosts of these programs.
10. Chinese Ministries International - Sending books, translated into Chinese, to those that have need of them. Concentrating on the many scalars within the universities of China.
11. Many other ministries could be listed but you could pray and ask God what to do with just $10.00 per month for just one ministry or invest in several ministries. I do know that God would have you to trust him to bless your gift to him or you might decide to buy a pizza instead. The pizza would taste good and would be gone within 10 minutes and no other thought would enter you mind about it, but it won't put souls in heaven. Which do you think is worth more to God! Also in light of the scripture we presented about the end-time marks of people that fills their own lusts, we must needs increase the kingdom of God. Maybe you could spend $100.00 this month and send all of these listed ministries, $10.00 maybe you could send $200, or $500 or even $1000.00. Would you commit to sharing God's word with those that do not know God. Please read what God can do with a blessed sacrifice from everyone.
