Dear Pastors, Elders and Lay Leaders,

 

I am Terry Hinchey. Most of you know me and my family. We are currently working in Atlanta, GA. with the Chinese, establishing relationships, teaching English, teaching Chinese and presenting Bible studies when the door opens.

 

I have been co-responding with a missionary in the Philippines, Perry Kusnezoff, which has reached out to our website ministry, Childvirtues from Tagnet, for support. He is SDA and only preaches in SDA churches. He has met with an SDA Pastor that would like to see if we can help their church to put a roof on their church building before the rains start in the Philippines, in June. All of the church members are willing to do all of the work. They just need help in getting the materials to put the building into a condition to stop the rain from coming in so that they can worship during the rainy season.

 

The one time amount needed, in US dollars, for the materials to fix the roof, is: $1840.54

The rate of exchange is about 56 Philippines Pesos to 1 US dollar. The actual cost is 102105 Pesos.

 

Also, if we could band together as a philanthropy team effort, we could also support The missionary evangelist, Perry Kusnezoff. He is a Canadian, married to a Philippino woman and they now live in the Philippines and he is in a new church each week preaching, evangelizing the Philippine churches. He only has support from his mother and the churches. The churches in the Philippines are to poor to offer much, if any support for him.

 

If we as a collective body could get a vision of the early church in Acts, where they helped each other and would see that God would bless those that help each other without the selfishness of our own needs, at home or at church, we could make a way for the churches to grow in the Philippines.

 

For one person the amount requested from the church needing a roof of, $1840.54, plus the support for the missionary evangelist of $400.00 per month this would be a large amount, but if we band together as a group of philanthropists with a ministry of philanthropy and set out to purchase an initial share of $2.00 each toward the needed goal of ~$2241.00, our initial quantity of shares would be, 1122. This would be well worth investing into. The benefits are truly out of this world. We would be laying up treasures in heaven and Jesus would see, “What so ever you do unto the least of these, you have done it unto me.”

 

I can see that every church member could purchase a share or more at only $2.00 each, for putting a roof on a church building so that fellow World Church members could worship in, out of the rain, during their rainy season. Couldn’t you? I know that we as Americans would not worship even one Sabbath in a rain drenched Sanctuary.

 

Let’s bind together now and raise the roof in the Philippines!

I’d say that we could get my home church to be the go between as far as any tax number that people may need or even your church could do the same and we will funnel the funds through my home church. Atlanta North SDA church.

  2. We could build a church each quarter,
  3. We could establish an organization to provide funds to the needy churches in Asia. These being: Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, China, Etc.
