Personal News!

Hello everyone, 

    I now live in the Philippines.  I have lived here for four and a half years now.  I came here with my wife to do missionary work, specifically preach evangelistic crusades and revival seminars.  I am not the evangelist to the Philippines, just a guy who wants to preach the truth to those who are eager to hear it.  We did a few crusades and revival seminars a couple of years ago and then we were pregnant with triplets.  My mother died and a good friend here in the Philippines passed away.  Then we found out that two of our triplets had died in the womb.  We had hope for our daughter Andrea but she succumbed to the toxins that had built up from her brother and sister.  She died six days after she was born and I fell into grief.  It has only been recently that the grief like a dark cloud lifted from around me.  Jesus was standing there waiting for me to come out of it.  He never left me or forsook me.  Now we have something to do. 

    The people on some of these islands have never heard the true message of salvation.  There are no hotels for the evangelists to stay in and no restaurants for them to eat at.  There is only the floor of a family’s living room and sometimes a bed.  Our real homes are not here but in Heaven so I don’t mind if I have to rough it for just a little while.  People pay money to sleep on the ground here.  We are blessed with an inflatable airbed that leeks very little so it is not all that bad.  I have to fix the hole in it before we go on another crusade though.  I have a huge burden for the people in these out of the way communities.  The pastor here has twenty plus churches to take care of and not enough budget for a crusade.  They are begging me to come and preach and the time is now with the Lord’s blessing.  We have nothing ourselves but our personal belongings and a few things that we can use for a crusade.  The time is very short and people are wondering what is going on; even those that don’t believe in God know that something is amiss.  So what is there that we can do?  Well, you have to ask yourself that question.  I know what the Lord can do, can you help?

    I could use a few scripture verses at this point to help you think about it, but you already know them and God will bring them to your mind just now. You know what has to be done and man's time here on earth is running out. Let's take some of them to heaven with us! Just pray and ask God what he would have you to do.
